PRACTICUM DISCOUNTED SERVICES

Services performed by a student will be charged at a discounted rate. Although all Students will have all the necessary service competencies, these services may take longer and require more patients on the part of the client.

HOW DO CLIENTS BOOK FOR DISCOUNTED SERVICES?

All services performed by students must be pre-booked. Clients can call and make an appointment for a scheduled practicum day. These time-slots will be communicated to the students.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

The discounted guest pricing helps to cover the cost of operations, consumable products as well as contributes to facility overhead and equipment usage.

PRACTICUM HOURS

Practicum hours provide students real-time service experience and prepares them with the knowledge, professionalism and background needed to perform at a high level of competency.  Your Instructor is available to provide support, feed-back and to evaluate service work during your Practicum period.

Your course practicum provides the perfect opportunity to bridge the gap between studentship and professionalism. As such, your Practicum hours are a key component to your Esthetic's education and advancement.

This real-world experience will give you confidence in performing your service as well as familiarity in working with clients in a professional environment.

HOWEVER, NOT ALL Practicum hours need to be performed in a spa environment. With your course kits, you will have what you need to provide services from your home if that is more convenient for you.

When performing in-Spa services, you will book in your practicum hours during scheduled time slots. Your Educator will share availability with you.

The Spa may extend hours to accommodate your practicum requirements if necessary. The Spa will promote student services but is NOT responsible for providing you clients for to complete your practicum hours.  Ultimately YOU are responsible for your education.

This will be facilitated in two ways:

  1. The designated Spa will offer discounted student services to new and existing Spa guests. Requests for discounted student services must be booked in advance.
  2. You will help yourself to acquire your practicum hours by bringing in your own guests to perform services on.

We are here to assist you in any way that we can. In the end, you are responsible for your education.
